I was showing a buyer-client some available homes on the MLS last week from

my laptop.  One of the 1940s detached home listings said it needed some TLC.

"3 bed / 1 Bath. 2 Car Detached Garage, Home needs some TLC!!! Submit all offers!!"

Well, was I surprised to hear my client had never heard that (TLC) expression before.

Her husband, who said he was getting hungry earlier, said HE KNEW WHAT TLC was!!

Tomato, Lettuce and Cucumber.

The Sellers are hungry for a buyer, too.

Use of jargon is a problem in all professions, not just real estate. We have to keep in mind that others may be unfamiliar with some of our terms.

I love the clients that have a sense of humor :-)  I hope you told him that from now on everytime you see "TLC" that you'll think of him.
