I'm not sure that I will inspire the community but I was inspired and thankful, that I was able to write about so many Holiday miracles.

I stayed with the Rainbow theme and used the initial letters of the colors of the rainbow, RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, INDIGO, VIOLET*, to share some miracles. Here they are:

R

Receiving the Holiday 'miracles' of smiling faces and joyful murmurings of "Happy Holidays" wherever I go. People helping one another, carrying packages or opening doors. I pray this lasts beyond the Season.

O

Old friends and memories are Holiday ‘miracles' especially at the Holiday season. I left England and family and friends at the age of 22 but letters and cards and phone calls kept us together. LOVE came pouring out of those cards and through the airways. The miracle of LOVE is that I could see some people every few years, ten years or in one case 40 years and feel as if we had never been apart. That's the ‘miracle' of LOVE. Let's spread the ‘miracle' of LOVE through the Holidays and everyday.

Y

Gabriela

YOU were my Holiday ‘miracle' today, you taught me to upload my first video on You Tube. And everyday one of YOU who teaches me, and one day I will print the *color words above in color, or the whole paragraph, because one of YOU, or a colleague or a friend will teach me how, just as YOU have taught me so many things, asking nothing in return. In the last year I have learned so much on ActiveRain, and in my office. Some of YOU know who YOU are, and some of YOU don't, but THANK YOU to all of YOU for the ‘miracle' of sharing your time.

G

GIVING. There is no beating the Holiday ‘miracle' of GIVING. The joy and happiness seen on faces, old and young, and the joy not seen, but still there, just because you gave to your favorite charity, school or hospital. And there's no shortage of opportunities this year. It will warm your heart, it did mine, to participate in the Holiday ‘miracle' of GIVING.

B

Brave men and women serving in the military all over the world ,give us the Holiday and everyday ‘miracles' of FREEDOM and SAFETY, allowing us to celebrate the Holidays. They are especially remembered over the Holidays because they give us their ‘miracle' while some are separated from their families and some are in danger. THANK YOU SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN for all you do.

I

I want to share the WARM program happening in St Mary's MD this winter. It is another Holiday ‘miracle' when so many VOLUNTEERS come together to make a good thing happen for those less fortunate. The WARM program provides warm, safe nights and food during the coldest part of the year. Groups and churches come together to provide WARM sites, 7 nights at a time, manned by VOLUNTEERS setting up, providing and preparing food, and monitoring the 13 hour period each night. Transportation help has been provided by the St Mary's County Government. I have the privilege to participate in this Holiday ‘miracle' from Jan.23-30.

V

Very, very fortunate for all Holiday ‘miracles' and everyday ‘miracles poured out on me. May God bless you with ‘miracles' as He has blessed me.

I really like your format. It would be fun to do one of these posts every month, and will be even more fun to read once you learn to do color (the only way I've been able to do it, is write the post in Word, where it's easy to 'color' the font, then copy and paste).

Thank you everyone for your kind words.  I did write this in WORD but neither color or font size transferred but I will keep trying.  Margaret C.

Thanks Barbara-Jo, I'm still low down on the learning curve but I also know I have learned so much this year, in fact sometimes I can actually teach someone else.  Happy Holiday to you too.  Margaret C.

Margaret...  I loved how you used "U" and "B", for especially mentioning those men and women serving all over. Overall, creative in using the colors of a rainbow. Thanks for sharing.
