The Value of a Smile at Christmas.....or How to Make a Good First Impression

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Sunset Beach and Beyond Realty

"A smile doesn't cost anything, but can create many things.

It can enrich those who receive it, without impoverishing those who give.

It can happen in a flash and the memory of it can last forever.

None are so rich they can get along without it, and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.

It can create happiness in the home, foster good will in a business, and is the countersign of friends.

It can be the rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and Nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody till it is given away.

And if in the last-minute rush of Christmas buying some of our salespeople should be too tired to give you a smile, may we ask you to leave one of yours?

For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have more left to give!"

A department store in New York City, in recognition of the pressures its sales clerks were under during the Christmas rush, presented the readers ot its advertisements with the above homely philosophy.

As Christmas approaches let us all remember the true spirit and SMILE

Let's carry it on every day in our lives to help make our world a better place.

Try smiling at a stranger, you will be surprised how hard it is for them to not smile back!!

What a great first impression you made. Be sincere when you smile!!

Start first thing in the morning as you greet yourself in the mirror...SMILE

I absolutely agree that a smile delivers the message that says "life is good" and makes others smile too. It lifts fears and doubts and communicates confidence too

I love it!  I think some times people do need a smile to jsut get by!   In this time of the year I love to talk and kid with the people waiting on me....I worked retail for a long enough time to realize that needed those cheerful customers so those that wait on me  must need it too!

this video made him insanely hismeock. I'm from Hudsonville, a short 30 minutes from GH and now live in Chicago. I don't get hismeock for Michigan ever until right now. GH is beautiful and it is so accessible. There really is little that compares to a summer evening walking down that pier. Great video.
