I opened two houses for one of my settlement couples, who finally did get their check. One home was a historic home in Tallapoosa, GA, that had been converted to a duples. The other was a brick ranch in Waco, GA that looked great from the street, but had been ripped apart on the inside. We have to pass on both.
We are looking at #3 tomorrow. They would like to find something before the end of the year, but their price range is $30,000 and below. That is a tough range in Tallapoosa, GA.
I did a showing at a house I have listed. It is a beautifully updated historic Tallapoosa home with the original wash house, and a new 3 car garage. and even though they were not pre-qualified, they are willing to call my favorite lender tomorrow morning. I think the house will end up being more house than they can comfortablly afford, but they were so happy that I opened the house for them - if they are qualified for something, I think they will use me as their agent.
If they do not qualify yet, I helped spread some goodwill, gave out two business cards, and a calendar. I also met two people whom I did not know before, and I can add them to my data base, you just never know...
