Today was a little more difficult, because I had to be gone all day. My husband had an eye appointment at the VA Hospital that called for leaving the house by 7:30 a.m. For a night person like me, this is cruel and unusual punishment, but fortunately I was able to get to sleep early last night.
We got to the appointment by 9 - a long drive. He was finally finished there by a quarter after 11.
I knew it would be a long wait - it always is. So I took along a legal pad and started writing promotional material while I sat in the truck waiting. Now all I have to do is refine it a bit and transfer it to the computer. I know, I could have taken the laptop, but when I try to type on that keyboard it comes out looking like I've had about 3 too many. When I travel and take it along I take a "real" keyboard and mouse and plug them in!
We had a little shopping to do, so didn't make it home until 4. Then I had a request from a client to help with the words in a letter he was writing, and a note from another client asking my opinion about a topic for a blog post that I'll write for him. I got those handled, went through the rest of my email, and then... hurried over to Active Rain to see what I'd missed today! Reading and commenting is an important part of my day.
Now I'm going to Tweet a little, post something on my Copy by Marte Facebook page, and call it a day.
Normally I'd stay up late and do more, but I failed to put ice cleats on my boots when I went outside tonight - so slipped and fell. Sitting is just a bit uncomfortable! (Guess I'll remember the ice cleats from now on!)
