Are you a real estate trend watcher or wondering when is a good time to buy or sell a home?

One floor homes, be it a condo, attached or detached, a raised ranch or bungalow or an apartment condo are out pacing 2 storey home sales in most areas.

Be it lifestyles, health issues or mobility, sales of these types of homes are increasing and with the new layouts and designs that are available, you can get a lot of living out of a single floor home.

Yes, there will be the 'my house is bigger than your house' mentality but depending where you are in your career or life, that too will pass!

Like the weather reports, there is  100% chance this will occur sooner than later! Look around you!

Hi Ty, are you able to get out and about with all the snow you've had this week?  We are moving to Tavistock at the end of January so we will expect more snow than here in Oakville but I don't think they got the amount you did.

Jenny, 50-70cm of snow have slowed up a few things and a forced day off for some. Tavistock can get hit with snow but decided this time to send it our way!

Ty, single floor living makes a lot of sense these days as we get older.  It's best to leave the stair climbing to the young'uns. Most of the new developments in the Quinte area are bungalow style homes, and they make great use of the space.

Malcolm, yes, the new floor layouts in one floor homes are using space economically which in turn allows larger living areas instead of hall ways.
