The City Council meeting

By

I was at a city council meeting this week and learned that you never know what response you will get from people.  It is amazing what people will say or not say to prevent a development from coming to their neighborhood even if it could be  positive to the neighborhood.  The ears close and the voice speaks loud but, do they say the truth?  If they had all the information would they feel the same?

Next time you speak up at a City Council meeting:  Get the facts first and do your homework and you may change your mind.  Try and have an open mind because sometimes you may be surprised at how nice it will be for the neighborhood.

Have a good day all.

Peggy:  I think for the most part... people are afraid of change.  And we all know that change can be either good or bad.  There are many folks, however, who take that fear of change, and prey upon it... feeding the fears, and whipping those who are afraid into a frenzy.  We see it all the time... and during the election season... we see it just about every day.

Karen,

You are so right and you put it so well in writing.  Election season will be upon us soon again and we will see the frenzy.  Thanks for the comment.

I think change comes from us all Joe.  Not sure what the Yikes was for though.  Explain if you would please.

Peggy... after reading comment #3 several times... I am guessing his "Yikes" was either in a self-righteous mocking tone... of came from his inner fears.  Either way... it does not speak well of him.
