20 Comments on Real Estate Today Is More Like A Maze Than A Freeway !!
I love the positivity! I believe it is in this market that weeds out the negative nellies!
Barbara, Attitude sets the table for everything else, and it this business, you better be flexible...or as we used to say in the Navy... Semper GUMBY!! :) Bill
Great Post - Barbara! Life is certainly 10% circumstance and 90% ATTITUDE... You've sure got a positive outlook - Wishing you success in 2011. Cheers Wendy Betts - Vancouver BC
I have never got through a maze that fast...
You have a friend in Tacoma,Washington! You are my friend in Franklin! So there Cynthia!
Paul
Barbara - Great advice. We have a new agent in our office and just the other day was complaining about the buyers in general. The oldtimers advised her that this is it today and if you can't stand it, then real estate is not for you.
Laura.....it's a staple today....just like bread.
Bliz....."always flexible"......that's a good navy man.
Wendy.....attitude will make or break you....
Paul....now you're in trouble Paul....she'll be stopping by and she'll see this!!! it's nice to have friends all over the country.
And just like real estate, that maze has more than one way to get to the same goal :)
Rosalinda....a new agent complaining....she hasn't even paid her dues yet....
Barbara, i always go out & see new customers or connect with businesses to get me enthused if it's just not in the moment thing...this is the new normal- realtors have to get over it and figure it out !!
Ginny.....there certainly is a new normal.....sometimes it's very difficult to figure out....
If real estate is being bought and sold...we have an opportunity to get our piece of that pie.
We all just have to work harder to increase our market share. New things have to be tried and old faithfuls have to be executed more diligently. Failure is not an option :-)
Steve....you're right and that's what I do every day.....work harder and add more methods to my bag of tricks....
Barbara - Great and very true post. Although some days it can be difficult to remain enthusiastic... But as with a lot of things, you fake it till you make it...
Sheila.....or go in another direction.....I just signup for the deluxe trulia program....and will look into zillow tomorrow....and I'll continue to find other avenues....
Paul, paul, paul. I guess our crab and wine date is off? I never thought it possible to break up on someone else's blog!! My apologies, Barbara ... you and I can still be friends, right?? Your friend in Sonoma County :)
Cynthia....you're so spoiled and you're not even an only child!!! what's up with that??? must be a California thing!!!!
OK, ok, I'll learn to share! It's called having two older brothers who wanted nothing to do with their little sister. Humph!
I wish I had that.....you've been blessed....I would have opted to share everything with a brother or sister....now I have children and grandchildren to spoil....
Barbara, those who believe there is no business out there, they just need to change their career. There are businesses out there, maynot be hot all over the place, but there are. When I was out to Houston raincamp, I got 2 listings, 1 buyer in those 2 days. Keep working and they will come.
Rita....you're right....keep working and they will come.....
