I love family game night, but if I think you are cheating (or I’m losing) I’m going to shoot you!

One thing I love about my family is once a week we have a family game night. It is a night where I don’t take business calls, show homes, or do any business, but we all get together and play games. We have fun, but I still don’t like losing so of course that is when the cowboy in me comes out!

To make it more old west like, I always have my trusty Nerf gun in hand and if I catch you cheating or beating me, you might just get shot. (I’ve never actually seen anybody cheat, but no one can have that good of luck)

You want to have your family bond and get to know each other better, try a family game night. It is something you won’t regret.

Todd -

Always knew you were competitive.

Didn't know you were a sorehead.

I hope they get to shoot back.

With a camera and your keyboard preferrably.

Ha-ha! I didn't see their weapon of choice or are they at a disadvantage because you are the head honcho and make up the rules? Huh Todd?! Huh?!

That's funny!  I love family game night!!  We used to do it every Wednesday and funny enough, my brother-in-law gave me a nerf gun with some cool shades.  I'll have to find my pictures and share sometime - It's so easy if you miss even one night to get off track and stop them all together. - keep it up.. It's a great way to keep a family in touch with each other.

I grew up in a gaming family and really miss such nights, Todd. Never had a Nerf gun but did learn to check "blank" Scrabble tiles others put down!

My wife and I spent last Friday night in a yurt on the Oregon Coast playing Yahtzee and dominoeswith our homestay college students from China, Japan, and South Korea.  That was our family game night!  The students didn't have wireless computer service available, so they had no choice but to play with us!

My family has always been competitive with cards. My brother is the worst when it comes to sportsmanlike conduct. And when he wins, he does a "happy dance" around the table.

Todd,

We love family games!!!!

Our favorites are Wizard, Apples to Apples and Hand & Foot.  The first two you can buy.  The last one uses four decks of cards with 8 jokers and is played in pairs.  Life is good when one can kick back and enjoy family and friends.

All the best, Michelle

PS - You do need to teach the kids to lose gracefully:-)
