veterans day

This is the reason we have a Veterans Day to honor all those who serve and especially remember those that gave their lives for all the freedoms we enjoy in our great country.

It is hard to describe what a day it was today.  First our AR meeting was fun and informative.  It was great to meet the presidents of our group Matt and Jonathan, Mary and John, Bill French who always makes us smile, Sharon and Tammy, Linda and Les, Debra and Bunny, Angus and I hope I am not missing anyone it is late.  They took loads of pictures so hopefully someone will post them.  Read Sharon's blog for more on the trade show as I am going to follow up on the other Presidents we heard today.

President Bush and President Clinton

President Bush and President Clinton were spectacular, and very funny.  There was a genuine admiration expressed for eachother and their cause.  Their stories were revealing about their mission for rebuilding the Katrina areas and how they each bought their first homes.   No matter what party affiliation you are this was a non partisan project that is bringing out the best.

This presentation was worth the cost of the admission an experience I will not forget.

I couldn't agree more on Margaret's comment...

That is indeed an unbeleivable photo!! Heroism and sadness, all together.

Bush and Clinton together...what a combination. It's good to hear they have admiration for one another. They each played a part in history and are part of a very limited club.

NAR sounds to be going well for all...it's so nice to hear from you.  Keep on filling us in...I for one am hungry for news for New Orleans!

Very emotional photo, Teri.

Glad to hear your report of the presidents. We need much more cooperation rather than party rivalry. They should have had Jimmy Carter, too, as he has done so much in building homes and friendships.

What a sobering photo you chose... 20 flag-draped caskets... 20 families and countless friends affected.

Thanks for the NAR updates - they're appreciated.

Thanks for sharing Teri,

Very touching photo. We are bummed we couldn't make it to New Orleans this year.  Thanks Jay

Hey Teri, nice to have finally met you yesterday morning. It was great to meet the entire crew. I just loved the general session- I really though President Bush stole the show. He was so unexpectedly funny. Hope to see you around again.

WOW - what a touching photo.  Ohh, it stops your heart and runs chills down your spine.  The conventions sounded very informative and it must be nice to meet the people that you "chat" with..

A very sobering photo to say the least.  Basically stops you in your tracks when you see that...........

I hope someone posts pictures of the AR get-together... and would love to hear more about the Bush-Clinton session!
