TEXAS CITY TEXAS

With the Holidays upon us, there is no shortage of parties.  From families, friends, co-workers to associates.  The problem is deciding how to prioritize them to fit them all into your schedule.

Today’s Holiday party was put on by Stewart Title.  This was a national party in their offices all around the country.  The theme this year was one of MY personal favorites…..  “The Cookie Party”…..  It doesn’t take a lot of coaxing for this party to make it to the top of my list!  So in eager anticipation we arrived to find that we were not going to be disappointed.

The festive table was full of, you guessed it…COOKIES!  I couldn’t have been more pleased.  The question was “Where do I start?”  The sugar cookies, the cake balls, the gingerbread  men….Decisions!

Without a thought about ‘blood sugar’……I started with the eggnog and moved quickly to the cake balls.  The little mini cupcakes were AMAZING, but the beloved frosted sugar cookie held its own!

I’m not going to confess how many I ate, but it suffices to say that I may not sleep tonight….I now understand sugar plums dancing in heads!!!

Having just made 6 batches of gingerbread men, I would've gone with the sugar cookies, too, LOL

Deb, It looks like fun!  Our Stewart Title decided not to have a party this year because of the economy.

I used to live in LaMarque, (over 30 yrs. ago) but my son was born in "What a pity, Texas City" as we cheered at football games! =o) The hubs worked at the High School, and I worked in Galveston. Looks like Texas City Stewart Title overcame the LaMarque cheer and shared their OWN brand of cheer with everyone!  Go Texas City! =o)

Wonderful color in your post, Deb. I'll sample anything, notwithstanding my diet (what diet??? - see me in February). Keep colorful and have great holidays.
