If you like cars....

I love seeing the old cars in HBO's Boardwalk Empire.  The clothes and the cars really give a feel for the era.  These cars are awesome....I loved when the Forces had a short reality show with wife and 3 daughters....John did not stand a chance!

Here's a small selection of the cool cars, and trucks, that were on display at the 2010 John Force Holiday Car Show last Sunday.

I'm sure you'll find at least one that catches your eye.

Enjoy!  :)

Great pics Wallace, I too love the old cars - I have a 1957 Chevy pickup in my shop that I need to get finished.

A woody wagon, my dream ride for hauling my surfboards around in, what a cliche I would have been. I still want one.

Hi Wallace,

Thanks for the re-blog!  Our oldest son went to school with one of John Force's daughters.

That must have been a fun, FAST reality show featuring the Forces!  :)

Nick * they make a BIG deal about that and Chalky's Packard.....I thought about you...I got an Xmas e-mail from my Lexus sales person * woman * and she asked about my sister who was with me last year when I picked up my RX350 * very thoughtful of her.

Wallace:  It's just my taste... prolly cuz I grew up in this period... but my favorite is picture number 2.  What is it ?  I am guessing it's a 1955 or 1956 Mercury ?  Am I close ?

Karen Anne... you have impressed me.  It is a '54.  I had to go look...

Loved the cars, BTW.  And check out the Goodwood Festival sometime.  It is cool to see historic racers (the cars AND drivers) running flat out.

Lane:  Cheater, cheater, cheater... LOL.  I did not have to look... 'cuz I am old enough to remember sitting in one.  When the 54's came out... I was ten.  Yeah... I am old.  <dorky smile>

Where is this Goodwood Festival held ?  Believe it or not... if it included cars from that era... and isn't a zillion miles away... I might even come take a look.

Somewhere in some blog post of mine here... I have pictures of a cream-puffy 1958 Chevy Bel Air convertible... and a equally cream-puffy 1956 Ford.  Heck... if I could find either one of them... and had the money... I'd love to drive them.

Goodwood is held on the driveway of Lord March in England.  The home is called Goodwood.  Here is a link.  It is one of the biggest shows in the world.  And one of the past highlights have included richard Petty driving his Superbird NASCAR racer up the driveway...

Lane:  It appears that my driving to England for the show, although it might be fun, it just sounds like too much of a drive to make.  Also... although many folks thought the old VW Beetles could float... I got rid of my '71 a long time ago... and I'm not sure if my 2007 Honda CR-V can float.  Darn.
