Recently I was taking GRI-Finance and the instructor was telling us that, as Realtors, "we're all on the same side".  Her point was to emphasize that we should stick together... don't talk negatively about your fellow Realtor!

I have to admit, I've been tempted a few times... there are things that other Realtors do that I question (like all those blanks you left in the contract!).  But then, it occurred to me:  I bet there are some things that I'm doing that is making them crazy too.  And as I begin this journey into blogging and social-networking, I'm reminded that you all really ARE on my side.  I read your blogs and am continually impressed with your professionalism and willingness to help your fellow Realtors.  And my great hope is that when I become a "seasoned" agent I, too, can return the favor and pass on knowledge and education.

The question is:  Can I hang around long enough to become seasoned?

I'm doing my best - and am always open to ideas.  So today I'm mailing out the Christmas cards.  :)

Tara, it is absolutely true that we are all on the same side.  Supporting each other, even when it isn't so easy to do so, is only going to make us all more successful in the long run.  Thanks for posting this - it is a great reminder to stay positive and remember that we are all working toward the same goals.

very Nice post Tara, We are all on the same side and the road to seasoned is filled with adventure and challenge. Those gifted individuals who hang in there enjoy the freedom and life experiences few do in today's instant gratification world. Hang in there

Thanks Kelly!  I've been lucky enough to work with some really great Realtors, so it's been nice to be able to carry on this mantra!

You may not be giving yourself enough credit for the things that you do well. Real Estate is about how far you want to go. However, 24/7 can lead to burnout real quick. Grow each day and you will just do fine.  I was  told in GRI one that we were a nothing. Meaning that we could not be a lawyer, accountant and so on. So when I get down and out, I just chuckle and "Yes, you are a Nothing". Just keep on working.
