The Central Pasco and Gulf Railroad located in Crews Lake Wilderness Park in Hudson, Florida is a 7.5" gauge railroad that everyone can ride on. They have about 2.5 miles of track through the wilderness and the scenery is beautiful, and there's a depot along the way. We were there a week ago and our friend Neil gave us a ride on the army train, we had a great time.
The railroad is based upon the real Orange Belt Railway. which ran from Sanford to St. Petersburg through Pasco County. The major towns on the CP&G are named for stops/stations on its route.
Central Pasco and Gulf Railroad has Christmas train rides planned (see the flyer below); the kids will love it. It's open to the public on the second Saturday of the month. So All Aboard and take a ride.
