If you want to be on national TV show House Hunters for ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN, you can be featured on HGTV if you buy a home in the next couple of weeks with Kathy Toth & Team, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA) recently conducted an online survey of their members to rate the items they found most annoying when searching for a new home with buyers.

Since these real estate companies are always looking out for the buyer's best interest they don't pull any punches. The results of the survey are revealing, surprising, and sometimes downright weird.

Here are the top five things exclusive buyer's agents find most annoying when previewing a home:
-Broken door locks preventing access to the house.
-Pet deposits in the back yard or dirty cat boxes.
-Missing light bulbs in the basement.
-Sellers that ask you to remove shoes and then have wet carpet or dirty floors.
-Having loose stairs on a stairway or missing banisters.

We actually had a Seller who had a coffin in his house and used tombstones as stepping stones to his front door. Yes, we did sell the house, albeit we removed the casket before showings began. I remember he also had an old Cadillac in the yard with a life like doll of Elvis in the driver's seat and yes, that was removed before marketing began.

Kathy,  The broken lock one really strikes home. I've had locks fall apart with the door unlocked and keys that don't open doors.

Good post. The most annoying is keys that don't open doors. The second is pets following you around.
