Day 9
Today, Day 9 of the 31 Days of December Challenge was Localism Day. Actually, a Localism push started last night after my last 31 Days of December Challenge blog post. I posted 2 Localism blog posts last night and another one today. While they don't draw many fellow 'Rainer comments, it has help raise awareness of us in our city. We enjoy posting about news and activities in our area and will continue to do so.

Stan, We want to be the Chesterfield experts and figured this would be a good way to do it.
Great strategy for making your goal of being seen as the Chesterfield expert! I haven't seen that correlation yet for myself either and am going to write more local posts.
Jim/Linda, Keep it up with the localism, it will payoff guaranteed. I guess like a lot of other things, we need to do it enough times and regularly. I've concentrated on localism the last 2 months and it has paid in website traffic increase. I see you got your QR on, so who is the techy?
Jim and Linda-looks like you are doing a great job of keeping up with everything. I have a few hyperlocal blog posts that have me on page 1 of Google for search terms.

That would be me (Linda). I love tech stuff. I learned about QR codes and learned how to make the one we use here on our blog right here in the Rain. We now use those QR codes on everything. Not a big response yet, but we are excited about using them. We are having sign riders made next week that feature that QR code and a Microsoft Tag code since we aren't sure which one is going to take off - it still seems early in the game. Both will direct buyers to our website.
