Ocala and Marion County Florida Scenic Roadways.

 

 Florida is best known for it's sandy beaches and palm trees but there is another Florida. A Florida of gently rolling hills, huge live oak trees and magnificent horse farms. This is a list of the scenic roadways of Ocala and Marion County Florida.

Scenic roadway Ocala Florida

 

  1. County Road 475-A, also known as Shady Road or Southwest 27thAvenue, from the entrance to Paddock Park/El Dorado to Dank's Corner.
  2. County Road 475 from the Ocala city limits to the Sumter County line.
  3. Williams Road, also known as 66th Street, from State Road 200 to Southwest 19thAvenue Road or the Boundary of Hijuelas Grant.
  4. County Road 312, from County Road 475-A to County Road 475.
  5. Southwest/Southeast 80th Street, including the trail connection, from County Road 475-A to  Southeast 41st Court.
  6. Southeast 41st Court, to and including 44th Avenue Road, to Southeast 36th Avenue.
  7. Lopez Road, also known as Southwest 42nd Street, from near Interstate 75 to Southwest 7th Avenue.
  8. Southwest 7th Avenue, from Lopez Road to the railroad crossing.
  9. Southwest 7th Avenue, from Lopez Road to and including Southwest 4th Avenue
  10. Old Lemon Avenue, from County Road 475 along Southwest 7th Avenue to Southwest 63rd Street Road.
  11. Buffington Road, also known as Southeast/Southwest 52nd Avenue, from Lemon Avenue to State Road 441.
  12. Southeast 59th Street, from Shady Hill School at County Road 475 to State Road 441.
  13. Southwest 63rd Street Road, from County Road 475 to 19th Avenue Road.
  14. Southwest 19th Avenue Road, from Southwest 66th Street to Southwest 80th Street.
  15. Southwest 16th Avenue, from Southwest 80th Street to County Road 312.
  16. Southwest 21st Court.
  17. 73rd Street Road.
  18. Redding Lane from CR 475 to US 441.  (Redding Lane being SE 90th St. from CR 475 to SE 7th Ave.; SE 7th Ave. from SE 90th St. to SE 95th St. and SE 95th St. from SE 7th Ave. to US 441).
  19. Southeast 25th Avenue, from Southeast 80th Street to Southeast 110th Street.
  20. Southeast 110th Street, from County Road 475 to State Road 441.
  21. Southeast 100 Street, from County Road 467 to State Road 441.
  22. County Road 467, from Redding Lane, also known as 95th Street, to Southeast 110th Street, also known as Turkey Foot Road.
  23. 26th Street Road, from Citrus Drive, also known as Southeast 38th Street, to Southeast 45th Street.
  24. Southeast 30th Court to 39th Avenue, around corners returning north to Southeast 45th Street.
  25. Southeast 62nd Street, from State Road 441 to Southeast 41st Court.
  26. 73rd Street, from State Road 441 to Southeast 41st Court.
  27. County Road 475-B, from County Road 475 to County Road 475-A.
  28. County Road 320, from the City limits of McIntosh west to the County line.
  29. County Road 25A from County Road 329 to County Road 316, subject to the condition that the road rehabilitation described in the current approved Transportation Improvement Program, be allowed without additional Board action.
  30. Northwest 100th Street from County Road 25A to County Road 200A.
  31. Northeast 49th Street from County Road 200A to West Anthony Road.
  32. Southwest 110th Avenue "loop", from State Road 40 to State Road 40 being comprised of Southwest 110th Avenue from State Road 40 to Southwest 38th Street; Southwest 38th Street from Southwest 110th Avenue to Southwest 95th Avenue Road; Southwest 95th Avenue Road from  Southwest 38th Street to Southwest 9th Street Road; Southwest 9th Street Road from Southwest 95th Avenue Road to Southwest 85th Avenue; Southwest 85th Avenue from Southwest 9th Street Road to State Road 40 subject to the condition that the reconstruction and widening of that portion of SW 95th Avenue Road as described in the current approved Transportation Improvement Program be allowed without additional Board Action.
  33. Southwest 34th Place, from Southwest 90th Avenue to Southwest 97th Court; Southwest 97th Court from Southwest 34th Place to Southwest 31st Street; Southwest 31st Street from Southwest 97th Court to Southwest 95th Avenue Road.
  34. County Road 328, from 1000 feet west of its intersection with SR 40 to US Highway 41.

  Ocala and surrounding Marion County is a great place to live. The second lowest median home price in the state of Florida combined with a low crime rate and the fact that Ocala has never had a hurricane makes it a must see if you're thinking about relocating to Florida. when I think of Ocala, I think of horse country, rolling hillsides, lush green meadows - it is beautiful up there!!!

I think people from other areas think of Florida as is South Florida and beaches. Where we have a more rural country feel up here, without the taxes, hurricanes & traffic.
