Being a jerk of a neighbor can back fire!

He has an easement on my sisters property for his drive way. Well when I came over the other day to pick up a dryer in my trailer, the only way I could turn around was use his driveway.

Well this "JERK", while I was inside getting the dryer told my wife she had to get out of the car and clean up the tire marks on his driveway! I had no idea this had happened until I came out with the dryer and she in on her hands and knees scrubbing his driveway of marks I couldn't even see!

According to my sister he has been like this since day one! Well my sister WAS going to give this guy a front yard in trade for some useless property that he owns behind her. It would have lowered her taxes and given him a yard that he could use to walk his dog. Right now he has NO YARD at all. I've got more grass on my driveway than he does on his whole lot.

After this incident my sister and brother-in-law decided, "Screw you!" They are going to keep the property and decided to put up no trespassing signs on the grass out front. The county, on Friday, sent out a letter stating that the application to partition the property has been removed by my sister and their lawyer has sent him a letter that says if his dog goes on their property they are calling the pound, and if he trespasses on the property they will have him arrested! He has also been advised that video surveillance has now been installed and if he should ever step foot on their property, except for the section already under easement, the video will be sent to the police!

This should be real interesting on Monday when, I'm guessing, he is going to get all these letters from the county and the lawyer. I'll keep everyone posted!

Sound like a battle might be brewing.  For sister sake I hope not.  Remember some people are off their rockers and they can do crazy things.  Be careful out there.

Good for you all. I hate hearing about terrible neighbors. I had a neighbor a couple doors down from me yell at me a year ago because I wa sstanding in his yard fishing. Both of our houses sit on the same lake. He also tried to tell me that we were not Allowed to fish in the lake. I told him to show me were it says in writing were we could not fish in the lake and he never has. A few months ago, while I was out fishing I noticed the neighbor shotting at the ducks with a pellet gun, so I called the police on him. They came and visited with him for awhile.....ain't seen him shooting at the ducks no more. Heheheh

Ouch!! I've had terrible neighbors and now I have wonderful ones which more than make up for the uglies. I feel sorry for your sister and her family...this has got to be awful!

Todd:  What a terrible situation and I do hope your sister will use caution because you just never know what some people will do.  There is a huge tree looming over my house but it's just barely over the property line and even that is debatable.  The property adjoining mine is vacant.  I asked the neighbor for permission to have the tree cut at my expense and I would be happy to replace the tree with another or one of their choosing.  The tree threatens my house and is clearly dying.  It did not bud at all this spring.  They refused and not only did they refuse, the wife was down right rude and insulting about it.  Go figure.  I could almost guarantee they do not even know which tree I'm talking about.  That's how many trees are on their lot and mine.  Very wooded acreage.  Can you believe a neighbor would rather risk having their tree fall on someone's house than have it removed!  How do you figure people like Mr. Jerk and my neighbor.  She must be related to Mr. Jerk someway.  I do hope things work out peacefully for your sister.

Dan - Here husband is in the Navy. This Jerk doesn't stand a chance, I saw what he did with the drug dealers in pimps in his old neighborhood. Oh wait, there aren't anymore!

Sean - Fishing? What a jackass! Good for you calling the police and I hope he ends up in jail soon.

Fran - The can send the residual checks from the show to my office attn: Todd (Director of Entertainment)

Linda - Yeah, it really does suck! The other neighbor that just moved in on the other side is one wonderful person and is starting to document stuff against this guy also, so if anything does happen they have ammo for court.

Donna - Your neighbor isn't mean, she is STUPID! Send them a certified letter stating that the tree is dead and your request it to be removed. This way when it does fall and crush your house, their insurance company can't claim they didn't know! I'm betting if you do this, if and when it does fall, their insurance company will deny the claim and make them pay!

Yikes, Todd.  I guess it just goes to prove that it doesn't matter if you're in the best of neighborhoods, your neighbor can make life miserable.   Good luck to your sis and bro-in-law.
