I have finally decided to pursue my passion for interior design and have filed for a business license with the State of Texas.  Following this step, I began designing a website, compiling photos for a portfolio, and researching training for an accreditation in staging or redesign.  I think it's important to have this before marketing my services and meeting clients.

I had been thinking of taking the online courses in Residential Planning with the Art Institute but am concerned about investing $15,000 in what is essentially a diploma...  the next course begins Oct 1, so I have some more time to think about this.

In the meantime, a much more economical route to getting some training would be taking one of the many courses offered online or in seminars.  Although Staged Homes markets itself as the industry leader, HSR seems to offer the most 'bang for the buck.'  After reading some posts on Active Rain, HSR seems to be a great choice for me.

I hope to keep my momentum going and start the course this month!
