My iPad Has Stolen My AR Blogging Mojo And I Gotta Get It Back

God I love my iPad.  You can probably tell that by the video.  There is no question about it and I wouldn't trade it for the world.  The problem that i have with it is that it has stolen my AR blogging Mojo.

The iPad is so compact that I can and do take it with me wherever I go.  And around the house, it sure beats lugging that dang laptop around.  But the one thing I can't do with my iPad is post content on my ActiveRain blog.

My early morning subscribers (the 5 am'ers) and those that I subscribe and comment on there post in the wee hours of the morning have probably noticed that I have not been posting my 5 to 6 a.m. posts anymore. Not since I got my iPad.

Before my iPad, I always slept with my laptop.  Yeah I know I had previously written that I had kicked the laptop out of my bed, but it made its way back.

I've said on more than one occasion that I do my best writing early in the morning or in the middle of the night when it's peaceful and quiet.  And I would do that from the comfort of my warm bed.  At the end of the day (and I don't mean the cliche, I literally mean at the end of the day), I am pretty much brain dead and anything I write is likely to resemble mush.

I've got to work on getting my mojo back before the new year hits.  I really, really don't want to bring my laptop back to bed, but I want my AR Blogging Mojo back.  I'm just going to have to cave in and bite the bullet so I can start fraternizing with my 5 am'ers again and get my grove back and keep my motivation level high.

Soooooooooooo.  How's your mojo?

If that iPad is the source of the problem I'll gladly keep it safe while you go hunt for your mojo!

Charita, hope all is well with you. My mojo is alive and well, then again I do not own an ipad. I have recently made some changes, left Facebook, and narrowed my focus on what is important, both in business and personally. Sometimes those things that we think are helping us are actually hurting us. Come back to us Charita, we miss you.....LOL

Charita, the IPad sounds like a good idea, but not if your MOJO disappears!   Glad you are enjoying your new toy, but miss your words of wisdom here!    AND, computers are NOT allowed in BED!

I have been so distracted with the business of the Season that I have drifted back somewhat.  I really miss the connection to you all.

Gerry I'll be back.  Just wait and see.

I know Joan.  I was doing so good when I kicked my laptop out of my bed.  Although I would go and get it when I woke up in the morning so I could post my 5:00 am, but now, I don't want to get from under my comfy blanket.

Debbie on the ActiveRain site, I  can post a comment but not a post.  If I launch the full version on my iPad, then I can't even make comments.  I think ActiveRain will have to get an App for that.

Thanks okay Paula, you've got your priorities straight. We'll be here when you get back.

Hi Charita...Mine has been extremely erratic for several months now.  Every once in a while I'll get it back, read loads of blogs, comment on many, and write a few posts and then I lapse again.  I want to be Active Rain active every day.

Charita

I used to sleep with sports radio at the food of my bed (which I left on during the night), so I can't talk- but I'm going to talk, or write rather.  That eleven hour battery is working you over good.

You got to put that Ipad in other room and try not to think about it. Apple must have psychologist on staff to make their products addicting

Hate to say it Kate, but that sounds much like AR rehab:-).  You'll get back in the swing of things.

Scott I think Apple is also staffed by the same staff as ActiveRain (hint:  the addiction).  That darned battery does seem to last forever doesn't it.

Sussie Mojo has got to come back and I guess learning what it will and will not do is a part of the curve.

Charita, why don't you write the blogs and then post them later in the day? I know it's not the same as at 5am - but you could be using your iPad from the comfort of your bed when your creative juices are flowing! Didn't know that it had this problem...why didn't Apple consult AR before they came out with the iPad?@! lol

I like to write blogs on my gmail account using the font size, colors, etc, then copy and paste them to my AR blog. That's what I'm talking about when I say write then post...

Sharon what could Apple possibly have been thinking when thy did content consult AR. The drafting post in gmail just may work. Thanks for the suggestion.

Works for me :) Then I also have a copy in case I want to syndicate it to another blog, internet site, or edit it for use somewhere.

Why can't you post to AR on the iPad.  I want something that functions more or less like a laptop?

Jane unless I am doing something wrong, I believe AR has to have an app if we want to be able to write posts and not just comment on others posts.

Charita, I know exactly how you feel.  I love that gosh darn iPad!  It has stolen my heart even though I can not yet do content for ActiveRain.  I think it is just me...and am hoping someone will shed light on this, but I keep on loving it!  Not used to Apple products, I am struggling with much, but loving what little it gives me each day.

Barbara the iPad can spoil you rotten and I have investigated enough to know that it is not just you.  Jane Peters had been doing a litlle research and discovered that the reason we can't post to AR has something to do with not havnig Java or some kind of Flash application.
