Trends do change in bedroom decor! Newest seems to be "creativity."

When my kids were growing up and a new house was being built or an old one decorated, it was fashionable to let the kids choose their carpet color. (Yes, carpet was fashionable then.  No one wanted hardwood floor because it was cheaper than carpet!)  Pergo didn't exist.

So a house might have a hall that led you to a series of doors that had all colors of carpet.

Now the trend seems to be to go even further and let the kids be creative in color and design on the walls.  Here are two examples taken from just the past fews weeks of MLS pictures!!

Barbara, I could add to the selection. When I was a kid that was called de-valuing the property. Now it is creativity.

Godmother,

I know that you are mad at me for getting a rupture by falling off a cable line. I have to wear that device a couple more weeks, I have included a full explanation as to my malady if you clicks on my photo.

Charles, you agree that the choices are becoming wilder.  One house that I had to sell had a painted ceiling fan that the parents had let the kid paint!!

Charles Edwards, some of the colors are unbelievable.

Nutsy, I am offended and shocked at that video.  I'm seeing my attorney tomorrow.  It's time to find me another godchild.  I think I'll contact that frog that I've seen on the rain.

P. S. to Nutsy.  I also didn't like the cuss words that you used in the video..........

Barbara someday the people that buy my house are in for a surprise because when you go to bed in the Master Bedroom and lie back in the bed the entire ceiling comes alive with the stars of the Northern Hemisphere in glow-in-the-dark paint---big dipper and all :)

Now Charles, who painted all that stuff on the master bedroom ceiling?  You must have done that before Activerain started taking up all your free time.  : )   There are a lot of Raven's relatives in my backyard right now.  But is a raven the same as a crow????

Barbara,

I feel the need to intervene. Your Godson is despondent that you are angry at him. I will explain the facts:

Nutsy fell from a cable line. I think it probable, and Nutsy says it is the case, that Charles Buell was tugging on the line making it go up and down and that is why Nutsy had this serious injury.

Nutsy has been to the doctor. The doctor says he needs to wear the truss for three weeks minimum and, even then, he may have to have a hernia surgery.

Nutsy wears tight clothing, therefore, he cannot wear the truss inside his outfit, hence you see it.

Nutsy went to much trouble to explain this in the video and he is upset that you did not agree with him. He sent the same video to Jay, who has changed his tune.

You should blame ALL OF THIS on Charlie for booby trapping Nutsy.

Stephen, you can not made up excuses for a rude assistant.  Ask the little cuss if he ever heard of an apron?

Barbara,
it would seem to me that since this is a prescription device that you cut them a little bit of slack.

Don, that's a pretty impressive mural but keep in mind the people painted their's!  Did you notice how the one with the fence thing appeared to have painted ground color around the wall and door?

Steven, slack?  If Nutsy were human, which I used to think he was, he'd be arrested by now for exposure.

We considered having a painted mural and even sat down with an artist who works at the discovery museum. He showed us his portfolio but we couldn't afford his price which was in the thousands. If I had attempted to paint something, it would still be a work in progress.

Barbara,
Nutsy is really not very exposed there, if you take into account that he's wearing it over his Jockey outfit. But I will get your point across to the poor boy but he is in pain.

Barbara, is this a foreclosure?  I have seen some foreclosures like this, especially the green room.

Yuck at the green room!  What were they thinking?  I let my daughter choose her bedroom paint color, which is pink.  But I am not selling, and I did not let her paint it herself.  Buyers see work and reduce the price.  Sellers:  paint is cheap, do yourself a favor and repaint it neutral, please!

Dana, what I see is the paint is cheap BUT the painters can't paint.  The very worst paint jobs are surfacing from the do-it-yourselfers. I found another one today!  I can almost hear it......"Honey, I can paint these rooms myself and you'll like the colors better."   Ugh!  He, or she, can't paint!
