Welcome to Ralph's Weekly Feature: Two Truths and a Lie: Guess Which One Is The Lie?
Each week, I'm going to feature one Active Rain Member, with their photo, and what they are going to do is tell you 2 Truths about them and 1 Lie.
The object of the game is to guess which of the 3 bits of trivia about them is a lie!
I will post the answer in that same blog at the end of the week on Fridays so you can all find out!
It's a great way to get to know your fellow Active Rain members and staff.
This week, we will be featuring: John Rancourt
John is a real estate professional with Crye-Leike Real Estate Services in Germantown, TN
OK, Here goes:

In my previous career, I was a fishing boat captain in the Gulf of Mexico

In my previous career, I was a head creamer making Whoopie Pies
I helped to train native indians in northern Canada about the concept of money and table manners
OK, gang. Tell me which one is the lie!
Remember, for those members who guess the most amount of correct lies at the end of the month, you will be awarded 1,500 Bonus Points! If there is a tie, each member who ties will be awarded 1,000 Bonus Points!
(Also, for those of you who would like to be featured, let me know, send me your 2 Truths And a Lie without telling me which is the lie and I will put you on the list - remember! make them good ones!)

#2 is the lie. I can't see making whoopie pies as being a career. Maybe if you are the owner, but then I just maybe wrong.
I'm guessing three 'cause it sounds like something Ralph would dream up for filler.
But I'm almost always wrong.
Hmmm..first thought was #3 but then whoopie pies?? Mind went right to the whoopie cushions...so gonna go with that the lie is #1, I know makes no sense.
hmm he could have worked in a whoopie pie factory as a teen so to me that is believeable. so its a toss up between 1 and 3 for me. Gulf of Mexico is kind of far from TN I am saying #1 is the lie
#2 is the lie. At least that would be my guess.
My guess is #1 - It is too believable!
This is difficult because it looks like John is smurking at us while we try to guess...
His skin looks too smooth be have been a fishing boat captain so we go with #1 LIE
My guess is #3 is the lie. I think he put #'s 1 & 2 there to trip us up, so I'm not falling for the bait.
Goodness, I almost missed this week's game!
Now, hmmmm....I am going with #2 this week. The other ones sound utterly plausible to me.
I think #3 too....
Wow! Everyone has such insight! The lie is number 3. I watched it happen but did not participate. It was done with disrespect. They were sitting on top of the largest iron ore strike on the planet and the first people on the ground took huge advantages of the nativies. ie.. Sold them hunting rifles if thhey piled fox furs as tall as the rifles.. add a bayonett but had to add fox pelts as tall as the bayonette was long.
Also the indians wanted o act as fishing guides so eating with utensils was a good compromise.
Yes I was a commercial captaain, out fow two weeks in for two days.
As the head creamer I got to eat all the whoopie pies I wanted to eat!
OK peeps, that's it for this week's game.
Watch for the new game posted this Sunday.
Congrats to this week's best lie detectors:
Rose Osman

oooops missed it this week - the time difference in India and social commitments kept me away from the net - so I guess, it will be difficult to win this time.
Ouch. Not doing so good this time around...Maybe next week...
Hi Ralph - I guessed #3 was a lie, but don't see my name on your list... Hey, I finally got one right!!!! I want credit!
After finally getting one right.....I'm ready to celebrate.... with a Whoopie pie.
Whatever that is.
:)
Sally,
I don't see how I missed that one!
Sorry about that. I'll go ahead and add you in.
I think I'm going to have to start taking screen shots and filing those with the tally's so that I can hold myself accountable!
Shucks ~~~~John's skin looks to pretty, he must have worn a hat and lots of sunscreen!!
Whoo - Whoo ... I got this one correct. He totally has the fishign boat captain look going on.
