Oops, looks like someone forgot to finish this project!  I don't think potential home buyers will want to add a balcony.  The door was to the outside from the Master bedroom.  Not really the type of house to add a balcony on.  As you can see, the view is of the neigbors roofs and backyards.

Plus, it was a hazard for anyone looking at the property, and yes it was on the market.  Not a house to view at night, could have been disastrous!  The sellers did eventually add a balcony, but it should have been a priority before it was listed on the market.

Wow. . .that is kind of funny.  They should switch that out with a window  - would cost about $350 verses the expense of a deck.

Cindy ~ OMG -- that could have been such a disaster!  It's just unbelievable that a seller and their agent could be so careless about listing a home with this hazard.  I agree, that should have been a priority!

Wow, is right.  I couldn't even imagine living in this house.  Every time my husband got up in the middle of the night, I would scare myself awake ensuring he chose the right door!

Looks like they wanted to be ready in case of a fire ;-)

Or maybe they're taunting the neighborhood burglars.

Seems that the liability of having a working door in that situation was hugh!  I also would have made it a window and called it a day!

Too funny--Cindy, that looks like a liability issue to me. Not surprising they had to add the balcony.

Cindy

I really am not surprised at anything anymore. Showed a house last week that was so dirty and torn up that the buyer was mad and so was I . The agent should be lashed. A total embaressment to all.

Another ridiculous instance of "What in heaven's name were they thinking?"  I'm guessing the balcony doesn't look too hot either, but at least the owners will have a nice view of their satellite dish as they sip their morning coffee!  :)
