Motivational Power Quote

Let Go Of The Baggage

"Am I willing to give up what I have in

order to be what I am not yet?

Am I able to follow the spirit of love into the desert?

It is frightening and sacred moment.

There is no return; one's life is changed forever.

It is the fire that gives us our shape."

Mary Caroline Richards, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Let go of the baggage

Your hands can be so full carrying your old baggage that when a new opportunity presents itself to you your hands are so full that we're not able to grasp the opportunity.

We have to be willing to give up the old baggage in our life in order to grasp the new opportunities. In taking advantage of the opportunities we will find that any one of them can become the breakthrough opportunity that can change the course of our life.

Many times we are comfortable with our old baggage. We resist leaving that baggage behind us but once we let go of it we will feel a weight being lifted off our shoulders. When we let go of the baggage we will find our self breathing a sigh of relief.

It's not until we let go of the old baggage are we able to open our minds and see the things that are in front of us and what can be possible.

Once we let go of our baggage we will renew our energy and move forward with enthusiasm and motivation.

Excellent!  We tend to prefer the known rather than the unknown, even when the known is not what is best for us.  It's so much easier to hang on tight rather than let go with faith.  I love this quote, thanks for sharing it, Lou!

Very good motivational post. We all have baggage, and sometimes don't recognize it as being junk. Other baggage, we try to put it down, and before we know it we are picking it back up again, like it is gold. Of course it is just junk, but it is also our security blanket, and we just can't seem to let go of it.

Once we let go of it, the weight of it is gone and it no longer pulls us down. We can accomplish so much more, and be happier as we go thru life.

It iw not easy but once you let go of things you will see what a positive difference it makes

Lou,

So many people carry around so much baggage that they can't let go. All it does is slow you down and doesn't contribute to your success.

Lou-What true words. Some people are able to let go of their baggage easier than others. It is definitely better when done sooner rather than later.

The old baggae is something I think we all carry with us. At some point though we hopefully sit it down and leave it on the curb. The new year is a good place to start! Thanks, as usual, Lou.

I have heard the same sentiment said in different words... we need to be open for opportunity.
