When I first read about the contest, I thought "Oh, that sounds like fun. I'll get to enjoy some of my favorite photos while I search for just the right one." That task proved to be a lot more involved that I'd anticipated. You can't just click through photos without taking a stroll down memory lane. And that little stroll took a wee bit more time that I'd set aside - but it was worth every minute.
This photo took me back to a cruise we were on two years ago. You know, in the real estate world, I am fortunate enough to be able to travel. Those trips are fun but they are still business. And I'm still connected to my team 24/7. This cruise was an absolute pleasure fest! My husband & I hadn't been able to just take off for any sort of "we" time in a number of years. An opportunity came up to cruise with two other couples & we said "Yes!" I have to say this trip was definitely one of the best ever. I had my business covered by the team & I turned my phone off for a true breather.
The cruise itself was fantastic! Activities, food, friends, cards, swimming, spa pampering - you name it, we did it. Although we spent time with our friends, we still had plenty of time to do our own thing. A shore excursion we selected gave us a swim with the dolphins. And W-O-W, it was incredible. It was a special time with my husband. We both got to experience the sweet trust of that dolphin. What an amazing connection with one of God's creatures. A true "Kodak Moment" since I can feel the sun on my face & my husband's hand in mine every time I see this photo.
