Monroe Ohio job outlook is rosy...

Monroe Ohio had always been a small bedroom type community.  Most people left their keys in their cars, left their homes unlocked, everybody knew everybody, etc.  It was a little like our own little Mayberry.  The low population kept us at "Village" status for many many years.  Maybe this was all leftover type stuff from the old stagecoach stopping point days.

Well, times have surely changed but Monroe, even with it's increase in size still retains a lot of it's small town charm.  Some people still leave their homes and cars unlocked, some still pass out good ol' popcorn balls and apples for Halloween. (kids needn't worry about dangerous items inside of them).  I'm not saying that Monroe is perfect, but I'd stake my claim here any day and not think twice about it.  Ooops, I did that years ago anyway, lol.

It seems like overnight, Monroe started to sprout her branches, ruffle her feathers and open up a wave of new homes and businesses.  We now have a huge Kroger's located in a very new shopping center.  (across St. Rt. 63 from the new K-12 school campus.)  And speaking of food, there's another newer grocery in a different strip center south of town.  It also contains a lot of stores, such as Cassano's pizza, a video rental and even a Great Clips.  There's a Domino's pizza at the main traffic light on Main St. and Rt. 63 and we even have a DOLLAR store now, lol.  This is just a small sample of the new businesses that have come to town.  They can see the population explosion and want to be out in front of it.

Monroe now has it's own medical center, a couple of chiropractors among other professions. (I go to Dr. Allman on Rt. 63).  Maybe I can get him to buy me lunch since I mentioned his name here, LOL.  All kidding aside, he's a great chiropractor!

I almost forgot to mention the new bridge they put over highway St. Rt. 75.  It's literally wide enough to have 4 or 5 Macy's day parade's running parallel with each other at the same time. Well, that also depends on how many wild drivers that they have for the floats. The construction near the flea market is mind boggling.  They are widening the roads, (long overdue) by a huge increase in size (width).  Scuttle butt is they are preparing for the new Mega Outlet Mall that is supposed to be going in across Rt. 63  from Trader's World Flea Market. The traffic is already horrendous around there on the weekends.  Now, I'm thinking about investing in a helicopter to be able to get to my office which is located in Lebanon.

Anyway, back to the title of this blog.  It's my understanding too that the Indian Casino is NOT a dead issue.  (I try to keep my ear to the ground to pickup info like this)  If they do indeed proceed with the casino, we are looking at the possible creation of thousands of new jobs!  There should be plenty of people able to work there considering the hundreds of new homes that have popped up lately.   I think you can visualize what I'm talking about now.  The outlook for new jobs Monroe Ohio is bright!

Oh and by the way, I can't be help liable for the information contained in this article.  I think my source had a few too many at Froggy's before he gave me his report.  LOL.   Enjoy your day folks!
