The new. 145,000 square foot Soldier Family Care Center is set to open at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas. This cutting edge building is designed to service almost 50,000 local soldiers and their families.
It will offer a full range of services such as: pediatrics, optometry, behavioral health & primary care. It will also offer a full service pharmacy and the capacity to handle 750 primary care visits per day.
This health care center is another piece of the massive expansion puzzle that is occurring at Ft. Bliss. As the military continues to consolidate more services and more soldiers to the base, it will have a substantive impact on El Paso's economy. I believe it will also have a very positive impact on the El Paso real estate market, as there will probably not be enough room on the base to house all the soldiers and their families.
