First of all let me say, I love you guys. This is a great website and amazing networking location.
WITH THAT SAID...
It feels like we are getting more and more and more posts by Actve Rain people who want to get your comments, obviously so they can get some "comment points." I guess AR is a testament to how competitive we all are as we check our points daily (hourly?) and see where we rank.
I mean after all, some agents must think..."IF I CAN'T BE TOP 10 IN GCI, I'LL BE TOP 10 ON ACTIVE RAIN!" (and there's nothing wrong at all with that!)
I'm seeing more of the ..."I'm taking a survey, please comment"...or..."Here's my opinion what's yours?"...
Now if your question is real estate related, then I'm not talking to you...but if it's "what color are your eyes?'...or "do you sleep on your back or your side?".....or "plastic or paper?"....Come on!
If you want sincrer comments, then please post worthwhile blogs!
Thanks for listening....I feel better now.

Good post...good point.....but as you say some are just looking for points....
Here you go. I'm commenting so you can increase your comment points. I also gave you a 5 rating and I have a call into President Bush to ask that he use whatever powers necessary to move you to the top. Today ActiveRain, Tomorrow The World!
Al, I've found that the best way to develope a relationship on ActiveRain is to reciprocate comments - and I don't mean a simple "Nice post", I mean a meaningful comment that is part of a dialogue. Eventually, you'll cross paths with others who do the same thing, and start getting those points from people that are your Associates, Associations and Subscriptions. Points then become collateral benefits and less of a goal in themselves.
Al--More content will bring more comments and more points. If you are only blogging for points, it shows in your posts. A good blog will have content and ideas which will generate the comments.
Al, this is obviously a shameless way to garnish points (see bolded part below). I hope it's flagged for plagiarism. (??? - that's why I have one flagged.... I can't explain any further).
On a side note, I'm surprised the Spelling Nazi's didn't jump in as demand you use spell checker......
"If you want sincrer comments, then please post worthwhile blogs!"
I think some of you missed my "point" (no pun intended)...I was not looking for GRATIS POINTS...I'm commenting on other Active Rainers who appear to be...
