Life With Wee People: A Typical Wee People Morning

Stephen, the Blur Minion usually starts his day by requesting yogurt, Frosted Flakes, juice and a bagel. Problem is I am out of NY bagels (LOL). Woe to the mommy who miscalculates the proper ratio of bagels to days out on the road. You will suffer the wrath of your Tazo tea drinking lemon loaf munching yuppie four year old if you fail to produce the proper wee people snackage on demand. ;-)

Did I mention that kids can be demanding? Stephen, the Minion Blur normally helps out with the laundry but today shorty is on strike in protest of my failure to meet the shorty food mandate. I must find a Starbucks to make amends for my wayward ways. Green tea is a favorite wee people habit I am looking forward to indulging in.

You can not go on a hunt for eye candy with kids in tow without the proper snackage. ;-)

While Noah, the Net Geek explores YouTube, Mikey and I are trying to figure out what to do with the house. We have just enough furniture to function, however the shorties are going to require typical items like artwork, a chest of draws and a functioning guest room (LOL).

Yup... still no pictures up on the wall or an underwear draw for anyone... Our clothes are folded neatly on the closet shelf and hanging on hangers.

I hate particleboard and laminates. I like real wood furniture. I get that from my Dad, so if you are in Palm Bay, Orlando and/or Melbourne FL, fee free to send me the address and link to your fave furniture store or embed it in the comments section. Our guest room is naked and our couches could use some company. I also need several nice frames for my photographs and limited edition minion posters.

The wee people enjoy shopping and we habitually include them in the decision making so updating these pictures are going to be a multi-part adventure (LOL). This is our FL house livingroom. As per Stephen, it's missing their bookshelves, their home school setup, their toy chest and a host of other stuff they are used to and really enjoy in our NY apartment. Do you know what I miss the most when on the road? My drafting table... I brought it while in high school and am very attached to it. It was my first furniture purchase and fave spot to create illustrations, music and edit digital film...

I don't have a favorite spot to work here... I'm thinking about buying a nice desk so I can pretend to be working while cooking up new creations (LOL). We usually cuddle on the futon while selecting pictures for my blog in NY, so a lounge by a window would be nice to settle on with the laptop. We hang out on the porch swing in SC to write and usually blog beach-side in FL... May go sit on the dock at sunset later to blog off the water. My Lanai is also empty so I am thinking we should do something fun and functional outside since the house has WiFi.

Mikey is gonna have to take us shopping later because I need to set up my home office. Little dude is having visions of Thomas the Train for his workstation so I think doing the den and the boys room is going to be mad fun (LOL).

I could really use a stager... Seriously...

C Tann, with your kids artworks, you won't have problem making your house looks colorful, haha.  I used to frame my daughters' "award" pieces as part of the home decorations, actually, still do, lol.  They are 13 and 20, very good artist, they really win award for their artworks, and I hang them on the walls in my office, so I can see them everyday. ;)

Digging in the closet to find the painting Noah did. Mikey brought it down from our NY apartment. We are going to take your advice Rita. I shall take the shorties shopping at an art store and have some fun with the wee people painting in the garage later (LOL). I'll let the boys pick a spot for Noah's art and YouTube our next minion painting.

Thank you, Ralph. :-)

C Tann, I like this one, it is so colorful and from the picture, I see Noah is a future artist.  He is so free spirit.

My girls love to paint and draw, my oldest daughter uses it as a way to release her stress, she is 3rd year in college, lol.

Rita, I love to paint and draw as well. We are going to Michaels on Palm Bay Rd in Melbourne to buy art supplies. Looking forward to creating a painting with the kids. We're chatting about doing something in the flavor of Picasso and Monet. I'm swiping Mikey's station wagon. :-)

OMG!!!!!  You've moved to FL?????  Where have I been that I didn't know this???  I was just wondering the other day if you've decided to home school as I noticed Noah wasn't at school in the middle of the day.

I need to pay more attention . . .
