What a great way to spark conversations anytime but especially at conventions when everyone is milling around the coffee in the hall.
Another great post Chrissy! Love the idea and will bookmark so I can remember them.
Great post and food for thought! I will think long and hard to figure out what I want to add to my next name tag.
How about using two name tags? Your name on one in BIG, EASY TO READY LETTERS... and a second tag right under it with one of your (Scott's) great suggestions?
These are super ideas. Love this series. I need to do more of that. I have networking event tonight, so maybe I can put to good use.
Debbie--Let us know if you try any! We'd love to hear how it went.
Hi Chrissy
Enjoyed very much your blogs and suggestions. I am brand new to this profession after having been a doctor and mother of 5 for most of my life. That's a long story in itself which you could read a little about on my Remax blog at accessphilly,com/agents/celiaglick.
But in the meantime all of this social media stuff is still new to me but very exciting and I'm really getting into it. But I like what you said about what the real point of it all is- to be able to say how many followers you have on Twitter or to really connect with people. And to me , that's what life is really all about- connecting with people and helping other people in a real sincere, deep way.
Thank you for your blog. I'll continue to read what you ahve to say.
Chrissy, Such good suggestions to help with connecting. Love the idea of putting a number on the tag. Mine would have 15539 the # of days we've been married. Thanks for emailing me. Look forward to talking with you.

The best example of a name tag is Bridget McGee which reads "Mortgage Mama" and she is wonderful.
Go check her out.
Great post-thanks for the good information.
Chrissy, very creative ways to stand out in a crowd.
Hi Chrissy, I just joined ActiveRain and was glad to find your post. Good stuff! I have also added Scott (one of your favorite bloggers) as a favorite to my computer. I took a quick look and know why you like him. Best wishes, Richard
Welcome, Richard!! I'm glad you enjoyed the post and I'm sure you will enjoy Scott's blogs as well.
Excellent ideas! There's a lady out here that has a name tag that says Queen Jean :)
Very cute, I saw this about a year ago and still remember it although I don't know her
Great Idea, especially for us newbies that are a little slow with all this stuff! :-)
Chrissy: I have worn my own name tag upside down on occasion... and have enjoyed the fun things that have happened as a result.
I like the idea of wearing the name tag upside down. If you were a short sale specialist you could even use it to your advantage and add a creative saying to it like "upside down? I can help"....then your name tag upside down underneath it.
Very clever!!! I like that!
Chrissy: Sometimes I wear my name tag upside down on purpose. People will usually stop me, and ask me if I KNOW that it is upside down. I will say that yes, I do know that. And then say that the reason I wear it upside down... is that most days I am SOOOO busy that I forget what my own name is... so with the tag like that, I can look down... and, with it upside down, I can read and then remember what my name is.
It is goofy, it is dorky, but it works... and has made me money. <smile>
