ALEXANDRIA VA 22314 REAL ESTATE MARKET ACTIVITY

The following chart illustrates the closed home sales in the city of ALEXANDRIA VA over the past 3 years.  Pretty consistently, foreclosures and short sales just have never figured in as a major % of homes sold.  (Tip: hover your cursor over the bars for specific numbers).

While this market, like many others, has had its share of ups and downs over the past 3 years, the percentage of short sales and foreclosures sold in the past 3 years has remained pretty consistent.

So despite what the talking heads and media mavens like to tell you, when it comes to real estate, you have to look locally.  All real estate markets are not created equally.

Susan, great chart depicting your real estate market...and I couldn't agree more that all real estate markets are not created equally.

Susan.. So true.  One can NOT look nationally to see what the local market in their area is all about.  That is why they should come to you for accurate and up-to-date information.

Even the local markets have differences. Some neighborhoods have actually held their value during all this; and some are so far down that I wonder if they will ever come back up.

Rebecca:  Thanks!  It's more compelling when you see it graphically.

Valerie:  Or you, if they're moving to Cromwell, CT!

Toni:  You are so right about it being neighborhood specific.
