This sounds like a very beautiful Christmas celebration. Thanks for sharing.
The Christmas boat is cool.
Carls ~ we don't have anything like that here in Denver. That would be a fun thing to do.
Wow Carla .. this is very cool! I have never seen anything like this before. What a great holiday treat!
Hi David -- it's great each year!!
Hey Eric . . . the kids love it (both the young and young at heart!) HO HO HO
Hi Tammy -- EXCELLENT!! What a nice thing to do for your lovely Lake Sinclair!!!
Hey Dawn . . . You can decorate your snow plows?!? ;-)
Hi Joan -- It's a wonderful tradition. Started out with only one boat 56 years ago. Now . . . up to 60!! And they're very creative too
Traditions like this are fabulous! Thanks for sharing. Our rivers & lakea turns to ice - but not always solid enough to be safe!
Very cool photos! I wish I lived closer to water so I can partake in some of these boat parades! Very different to me!
Hi Marilyn . . . maybe they can do the "on ice" version??
Hey Renee -- Yeah, landlocked Nevada. The rivers here, and their tributories are great. Some day, I want to learn how to kayak!! Maybe I'll decorate my kayak one year!! And paddle?!?
Carla--It gets cold in Oregon this time of year, right? These boat owners are willing to do this in the cold? Wow! That would be a great tradition to start for anyone living near a body of water (me). Can't believe I have never heard of this!!
Carla I have two favorites - the boat with the train blowing smoke and the one with Santa fishing. That is some very special river parade
Hi Pat . . . Maybe that would be a good tradition to start. 56 years ago it started here with only 1 boater . . . then it grew! You can tell 'em it was all your idea ;-0
Hey Karen -- HO HO HO Santa fishing is a cutie, and playing golf. But there's so many to see and it's so much more beautiful in person with the lights bouncing off the water.
