Where does time go? I know where my time for posting to this blog went last night... out the window when my Wild Blue connection suddenly couldn't make it through the rain.

It's just a good thing for me that the rules say we need to post 5 days out of 7, because Sunday turned into a lost cause.

I have to wonder why the TV satellite works through rain, snow, fog, etc. But the Internet satellite shuts off with 1/4" of snow in the dish, or like last night, because the rain is coming down hard.

Anyway... The last few days have been a continuation of the end of last week. Reading "open" lists and retrieving the email addresses of people who have been opening my messages but had been on my list for more than a year kept me busy for part of Sunday and much of Monday.

Once I got them sorted out, I entered them all in my own email address book and composed a letter explaining what happened and inviting them to re-opt in. Once that was done I sent emails out, 10 or 15 at a time so my email service wouldn't freak out and decide not to send.

Then when the bounces starting coming I went back through the lists to find my errors and put them on a separate list. Some of the errors were due to my typing. Leaving the "a" out of yahoo doesn't work!

Some were because my brain had trouble typing what didn't compute. It really is difficult to type what my brain sees as "silver bird" as "silvrbrd." It's also difficult to enter email addresses correctly when they look like those computer generated passwords you get when you sign up at some sites.

The frustration of it caused me to take time today to write about the importance of email addresses on my other blog.

By the time I got that all done the Internet connection had gone down, so it had to wait for today to re-send to my "error" list.

Because I was thinking about the 31 Days Challenge, I also went to my past client list and sent a couple of emails, just saying hi and staying in touch. Also tweeted about my pre-written letters and left comments on a couple of Facebook pages.

Meanwhile - I got some work done for my clients yesterday and today... and that's a good thing!

I'm pretty sure I've been doing something every day, but it sure doesn't feel like much.

I missed the challenge when it began. Yet it's been interesting to follow and get ideas.

Vickie - Yes, it is interesting to see what everyone else is doing to keep marketing this month.

Don - Too fast! Seems like every time I think it's Monday morning all of a sudden its Friday night.

Merry Christmas to you too!

Wendy - I think keeping on keeping on is about all any of us can do - since we're not about to quit!

This challenge was such a good idea - because when we skip one day it's so easy to skip the next and the next. As long as we keep doing at least one thing every day, we won't be standing around red-faced in January, wondering where the next business is coming from.
