Freeport Maine is typically known for its shopping and outlet malls as Yankee Magazine did select it as the best shopping town in New England at one point. However, this coastal town of Maine is also a great place to live as it offers rich history and great recreational opportunities. Freeport is a great place to look for southern Maine Homes. This past month of November 2010, Freeport had 4 homes sell out of an inventory of 78. These 4 homes saw an average of 45 days one the market and sold at a median price point of 330K. While the sample size was quite small this month the numbers do still appear to reflect that overall market prices are going up in this town. This average price point represents an increase when compared to the year-end numbers of all of 2009.
