Fairfax Home Seller Tips - Preparing your home to sell it!

There are many things to consider when selling a home in Fairfax VA, and most of them have to do with making your home appealing to all potential home buyers.  A home must invite buyers into it and it starts with curb appeal.  A home must say to buyers "Welcome" from the street!  Does you home invite buyers, or make them ask their agents to just keep driving because they do not want to see the home? Selling a home in Fairfax VA requires preparation not magic!

Fairfax VA Home Sellers - A Home must Say Welcome to Potential Fairfax VA Home BuyersIt's no secret that first impressions really count!  The first visual impact your home makes on potential buyers may make all the difference on whether or not your home will sell.  The right first appearance can easily turn a looker into a buyer for your home. Conversely, a bad first appearance and impression may drive a potential home buyer away - never to return again.  To determine your own homes curb appeal, you need to view your own home as though you were a buyer. How does it look to you? Would you buy your own home? Be honest with yourself!   Make notes of your first negative impressions.   What does your home need?  What is it missing?  What needs improvement?  How does the lawn look?  Do you need more color in landscaping?  Are the plants over grown?  What about pruning plants and shrubs, trimming trees, cleaning your windows, paint trim and gutters? Remember everything matters!  It is the detail that will tell others long before they open your front door that your home was lovingly cared for. Welcome
