Winter in Crested Butte has started off beautifully as we have received 107 inches of snow so far this season. With 9 inches from the last storm we currently have a 35 inch base. The snow is falling today and we are expecting a high of 36 degrees. With this storm here and letting loose and lasting till next Tuesday it looks like we'll have plenty of snow for all of you to visit this coming holiday. Current Crested Butte weather. Regarding real estate in the upper valley November was a great month with $8,563,700 sold with an average discount of 5% off asking price. Sales consisted of eight single family homes, six town homes and condos and two parcels of land. In November 2009 there was a total sales volume of $4,897,400 with an average discount of 13%. That makes a 43% increase in sales last month and a substantial decrease in discounts. It appears prices have hit a low and may be stabilizing. That being said we'll have to wait until summer to fully realize the impact of the controversial $858 billion tax cut package that the senate passed yesterday.
