Last week marked the 10th year for the tri-state real estate convention in Atlantic City. New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Realtors converge on the sparkly city along the Atlantic Ocean to share ideas, explore new trends, find out the latest tech tools and get pumped up to exceed their goals in the coming year. Although attendance was not as strong as in past years, the pre-convention designation courses, rebar camp, educational sessions and the exhibit hall were chock full of great ideas, wonderful energy and new & better ways to do real estate.
The quality of speakers and trainers at Triple Play has become a 'Who's Who' in the real estate industry. Inman News annually publishes a list of the 100 most influential people in the industry. The list is broken down into various categories within the real estate business to identify the select few in each area of specialty. The 2010 winners of this honor was published this week sending a wave of tweets and updates of congratulations to this years designees. Several of these individuals were at last week's Triple Play Convention working hard training, marketing, networking and bringing all their best to the Realtors in attendance. It was awesome!
It's an honor to learn from the best in field and that's what we received at Triple Play this year. I was lucky enough to have been able to personally meet and chat with several of this year's honorees from Inman's select list, Steve Harney, Chris Smith and Nicole Nicolay, just to name a few. I have learned so much and have advanced my business by following these movers and shakers on Twitter, Facebook and Linked In. In addition, there are so many people in this industry who are equally as gifted in their passion for the real estate industry. Start with the Inman News list of 100 and start listening to what they are saying. It will open your mind to new ideas and better ways and running your business. And you might even meet some great new friends along the way.
