Meijer Gardens at Christmas time is a must see in Grand Rapids.  They have 40 Christmas Trees from different countries, a Railway Village, plus the normal attractions.  When the temperature is freezing outside, it is a real treat to go into the conservatory to see and smell a tropical climate and tropical flora.

Yes, we have snow in Grand Rapids Michigan already. It came right after Thanksgiving

this year and it gives every scene a holiday touch.

Sculpture at Frederick Meijer Gardens Entrance

We were at Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park this morning.  It has a fresh

blanket of white which softens the landscape and decorates nature with a deft hand.

In contrast, the tropical garden inside is abloom with orchids and other tropical plants.

We browsed the Christmas Trees from Around the World with awe and delight.

Mexico Christmas Tree

The colorful paper ornaments on the Mexico Christmas Tree were so bright and cheerful.

Kwanza Decorations

Kwanza items and decorations are gathered here to honor holiday celebrations around

the world.

Germany and Austria Christmas Trees

Nutcrackers galore on the German Christmas Tree and delicate glass ornaments on the

Christmas Tree from Austria.

Swedish Christmas Tree

The Swedish Christmas Tree is filled with wooden carved ornaments and tiny Jule candles.

African Christmas Tree

The Christmas Tree from Africa is unusual and unique, filled with African crafts and symbols.

Vietnamese Tet Shrine

Embracing many cultures, this Vietnamese Tet Shrine is symbolic of Vietnam's biggest

holiday, celebrating the coming New Year.

Native American Christmas Tree

The Native American Christmas Tree is filled with hand made ornaments celebrating the

Native American crafts and culture.

Brazil Christmas Tree

Poinsettias, colorful feathers and birds decorates the Christmas Tree from Brazil.

Meijer Gardens Covered Entrance

The tree-like beams that support the covered entrance to the Meijer Gardens

are shown here with all their holiday splendor.

We hope you enjoyed the brief tour through the Meijer Gardens and a few of the festive

Christmas Trees from Around the World.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from

Grand Rapids Michigan!
