Those are encouraging words. I look forward to a time when my blogs bring me business. I did get one ,major client from Active Rain. Happy holidays to you.
We've absolutely found that blogging helps to increase our website traffic. Blogging has become a critical component of web marketing for us. Santa Barbara is extremely competitive when it comes to the SEO aspect of Web marketing and blogging is an effective way for us to get the exposure we need without spending a ton of money.
Great re-blog, Cindy! I missed Kate's original but, have to agree that those old, local posts are a great source of business for me too. New ones work also so, I keep the links updated and refer back to them on other sites as well. Blogging has quadrupled my biz this past year and believe me, I'm MOST thankful!
Cindy,
I believe your encouragement has great value for those who are just getting started with Internet marketing. It may seem such a foreign concept and definitely a real change in strategy for those who are used to the "very direct" method of sales.
Best,
Steve
Oh, I know and I really need to start doing that. We have such a great small beach community that blogging about are area will pay off in dividends in the long run; you're right.:) Gail
Hi Cindy...Thanks for the re-blog.
Kate
Pat-congratulations on starting to see the benefits of Active Rain.
Melissa and Rich-sounds like you understand how to make it all come together for you.
Debe-I haven't been as good at going back to some of the older post to update as I should be. However I do have one post on my WordPress blog that still gets comments 9 months later so know the SEO is working.
Steve-the original blog credit goes to Kate Elim in Lake Anna. Though the blog field is starting to become more crowded with RE agents those who have been at it awhile and have good position with google will continue to reap the benefits.
Gail-I would think you could "own" your area with a well targeted blog and perhaps FB page as well.
Kate-it is a terrific post and explains the value of Localism very well.
