The December Challenges . . . Keeping the Christmas Spirit and Working to Maintain The Business
Today was our annual Christmas Luncheon for friends and family. Altogether there were maybe 40 people and also one very special visitor as well.
This tradition started about 10 years ago. There just weren't enough days to go around and visit all of the family, so we decided to hold it on the weekend before Christmas and have everyone come over.
There was certainly enough food and everyone was waiting for a special guest to arrive.
Not to be disappointed.
It's not every house party where there's a special visit from Santa Claus. All the parents and grandparents were sent an email inviting their kids to send an email to Santa with their Christmas wishes. They had to tell Santa what they wanted and that they were going to the Silva's party. Santa not only brought their letters and read it to them, but he also had a special gift for all the good boys and girls.
How neat a personal visit and a bonus toy.
Everyone had a great time. Santa Claus had them singing Christmas songs, and great memories were made. Some of these kids already start asking their parents in November if they're going to that special party.
To remove all doubt, that's me on the left, Santa, my wife Cauna, and the youngest Grandson, Raphael. This was his first Christmas with Santa, and he loved it!
♫ Oh! You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I'm telling you why:
Santa Claus is coming to town!
He's making a list,
He's checking it twice,
He's gonna find out
who's naughty or nice.
Santa Claus is coming to town!
He sees you when you're sleeping,
He knows when you're awake.
He knows when you've been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake!
So...You better watch out,
You better not cry
You better not pout,
I'm telling you why.
Santa Claus is coming to town. ♫
31 Days of Christmas Challenge
Day 18: Today was a very to be a little or no work day, except first thing in the morning I had a few requests from agents to see a couple of my listings this weekend, and also, I had to ask one of my fellow agents to take one of my clients back into a house we saw this week.
I also passed out calendars to the guests as they left, with my contact information of course.
