This unusual building is located at 800 E Mineral Road in Phoenix. This is located at the base of South Mountain.

The home was built in the 1930's by Boyce Gully in homage to his daughter, Mary Lou who now lives in the building. The building has 18 rooms with 13 fireplaces and many antiques that tell a story of early live in Phoenix Arizona. Boyce Luther Gulley learned he had tuberculosis and abandoned his wife and daughter and moved to Phoenix Arizona. When he got here he began building this castle for his little daughter who he had left behind. He lived longer than he thought he would - 15 years. During these 15 years the castle was build in an eclectic way. The home is built of salvaged materials, auto parts, junk and in some areas there are actual petroglyphs embedded into the walls. Once Gully died, an attorney notified his wife and daughter. They had no idea where he had gone. They came to Phoenix to live in the house. Mary Lou Gully was a teenager at the time. Currently Mary Lou Gully still lives in this unusual structure. There are antiques in all the rooms and the home can be toured with the exception of her bedroom.
