Heidi, The Christmas Rottie

By
Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Network Realty BK 3030920

I went to a wine tasting party at a friend's house yesterday, and her in-laws were there along with their 100 pound Rottweiler, a two year old named Heidi.

I love dogs, and have spent much time with large dogs. I've always seen dog clothing as an accessory for the smaller breed- apparently, I was wrong.

They have started making outfits for the "plus sized" dog market!

Here are two pictures of Heidi in her sequined holiday wear, that may have been a bit too small:

I feel sorry for the poor dog! Imagine her comments if she could speak? "Ya, Ya, They made me do it, they made me wear this TuTu, its not even my style nor the right size!" "I hope they don't take me out for a walk in this outfit, How embarassing!  Just imagine what that new guy on the block is going to say, I'll be getting tons of "cat calls".

I guess the owner's think it's cute?  But personally, I don't think a 100 lb. dog should be dressed up. I certainly wouldn't put outfits on my two Boxer's.

Hi Carol. If you look close at the first picture, I think her eyes say it all..."Do I have to? What did I do?"

Carol,

Even though it looks like it's a few sizes too small that outfit is just too much for a dog like that. I only hope the owners dressed themselves better, or maybe they're just a couple of "party animals" too.

Carol, the look on that dog's face is priceless!  I too thought doggie outfits were for the petite ones.  Plus sizes, oh my!

Very cute. Any rottweiller in a tutu is a miracle in itself
