Pre-visualization is a powerful skill that helps people with a solid dream and plan to get there.  Saying you are something that you are not and making all your efforts to convince people of that fact rather than do any of the work to get there, is a waste of your time and the people you are trying to convince.  Actions talk, and BS walks is the only path to success.  The BS way falls into "you can fool some of the people some of the time..."  Pay attention to what you are thinking and doing and you can make progress.  Spend all of your time trying to convince others and you will be nowhere.  The first person to convince is yourself.  The second step is to create a plan of action and make steps every single day to push that plan of action into results and you will get there.  Does this make sense to you?

At the end of the day, week, month and year it is always about what you did.  Once that period of time is over it is about what you are going to do.  Much like the stock market, past actions do not predict future results in many ways.  But the past actions of conceiving a plan, working your plan, assessing and adjusting your plan will dictate future results.  Real Estate is my third career.  In the first two careers I had national level success.  This first year in Real Estate my financial success has not been on par with my past actions.  This forces assessment and adjustment which is exactly what I did.  I changed agencies, states and the people I allowed around me.  I learned from bad behavior of the people I had around me at first before I surrounded myself with new and far more truly successful people in this new environment. The takeaway here is not that I didn't reach my financial goals for this year, so far, but that I was strong enough to make powerful decisions that were risky on every level to succeed.  I have no doubts about next year because of all of what I have learned and perfected in this year.  I am lucky enough to have learned all the potential bad habits a professional can have in a very short period of time.  I can spend the rest of my career not repeating any of those things.

My goal is to be a true asset to my community and the industry I have chosen. To be successful in this goal I have to study and apply skills each and every day.  Yesterday I did an open house for a agent friend of mine.  As I was driving home I was thinking of what questions I was asked and the ones that I couldn't answer immediately.  I know that it isn't necessary that I have all the answers, but I can get those answers and share them with the people who asked the question.  That is professional.  I do that for myself and the residual affect is that it helps my community.  What are your plans and what actions are you taking to make them a reality?

On line dating services run that way. You are something you are not, on line and then folks laugh when they show up and shocked at the guy or gal weighing 100 pounds more than the switched profile image, or one from 20 years ago. The truth sets you free. The lies catch up with you in dating, real estate, anything. Spin is something the media, politicians do so well though and we are tutored by the best.

Hey Andrew how about the agent that uses their portrait from college when they are nearing retirement age.  The truth does set you free. Thanks for commenting.

I especially like the picture!  I like it when folks meet me and say, "You look like your picture."  I think they have seen so many who look nothing like their picture on their cards or advertising that it shocks them when someone actually does look like their photo.

So true Paula.  This shot of me was taken the day I left Dallas in Sept.  You share other images all throughout your year.  I think it is a little easier for you since you are so beautiful inside and out.  Have you never attended a RainCamp?  Did you not go to the one last month in your area?
