Don’t anticipate the worst ~ anticipate the best ~ it just might happen. I remember my Mom, telling me this as I was growing up. If you are negative, you will attract negative people. If you think negatively, you will send yourself into a place that you cannot allow yourself to be.
How can you possibly sell homes to people who are nervous, excited and anxious, if you are not the positive, enthusiastic professional?
My Coach, Brian Buffini, says that his Mom used to tell him, "Show me your friends, I'll show you who you are." Okay, so, if you have friends, who are negative and going no where, you need to look for more friends. I won't say new friends, because I don't believe in abandoning your present friends, but, for your own survival, you must find positive people to impact your life. Your present friends may come along with you and change their thinking, too!
Be a communicator. Don't assume that someone knows what you are thinking. They do not. To be successful in any relationship, you must really sit down and communicate with eachother. Remember, we were all brought up in different homes. What you may believe is so, may not even occur to the other people.
Life can be a joy. So can, selling real estate. Keep your lines of communication open. Call your database, your current clients and let them know that you are listening to them. When you don't communicate, they will assume that you don't care. Certainly, that isn't true. Be the communicator and try to bring out the best of your friends, clients and associates. Talk it out and find out what is really happening, together. Be optimistic, and know that you are the best person for them, to talk with and work with.
Remember, the goal is to have a happy transaction. Happy beginnings, not endings. Having this client learn to know you and the good person that you are, will keep you receiving referrals forever!
Start communicating, today!
