We'd like to talk about the energy level around this business as we get closer to 2011. We have worked hard to do lots of restructuring in our business. We wanted to make sure that everybody has a focus and energy in their business to start 2011. We don't just mean in January. If we are being honest, we lost a little energy after June. We still produced some good results, but our mission is to produce extraordinary results. So we have been looking in the mirror for the last few days and looking at the numbers. When you look at your numbers and look at things from a business approach, it can be daunting, especially to real estate people.

Let's be honest, when you are running a business, you have to look at the numbers. Heather has been working hard on our budget and for us, it has been overwhelming. No wonder we have never had a fixed budget. 2011 will be the first year that we have a fixed budget.

There is a part of us that knows we have to raise our energy, our expectations, and our focus on all of the great things that are going on. We always looked at the real estate business as doing more than a few transactions and having employees and having systems in place. However, over the last few weeks, we have seen a whole new perspective on what it means to run a real estate business.

We truly feel like the best way to have an amazing 2011 is knowing the numbers inside and out, working with a fixed budget, following a model, having a chart of accounts and doing things the way that KW has set it up.
