A Time to be Thankful, by Marina Plute
The holidays are about faith, family, friends, being thankful, giving back and celebrating. Really, the holidays have different meanings for so many people. When I was thinking about what I wanted to write about this week, being thankful and blessed really came to mind.
God has blessed my family tremendously this year. First and foremost, we were able to celebrate our son Aiden's first birthday this past March. What an amazing son I have been blessed to have, he is such a happy and healthy boy! Aiden is a little "Tasmanian Devil" at times, but what toddler isn't? I cannot believe all the new milestones he has reached this past year.
I have a wonderful and supportive husband, who allows me to pursue my passion of selling real estate. Marc has been such a rock for me over this past year and the last 15 years. He definitely brings great balance to our relationship, but most of all, he is just a fantastic human being and wonderful Father to our son.
My parents moved back to California from North Carolina a couple of years back, just in time for Aiden's birth. My husband and I are very fortunate they live so close to us. They help us take great care of our son and I hope they know how much they are appreciated. There is nothing better than having a warm, supportive and loving family surrounding you at all times.
Another blessing I am very thankful for in 2010 is the opportunity to work with a world class team at Schweller Properties. Mark Schweller, Stacie Tarango, Kay Tarango and Katrina Walters are an amazing group of professionals that I am proud to say I work with. We all bring so many strengths to the table and support one another is so many ways, but what I love the most is that we are like a family. We laugh, cry, (well some of us anyway), have disagreements like most families, but we stick together. I love my Schweller Properties and Keller Williams Family.
This is a time where we all can reflect and count what blessings we have received this year. Each and every one of us is special and blessed in so many ways. Take time to tell your family and friends you love them and care, let someone know they're appreciated, pick up the phone and call a friend or family member you haven't spoken to in a long while, or give back to someone or a family in need.
Thanks to God and everyone who made my 2010 a very blessed year. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2011!
