How big is your Button and does Size Matter?

The test results aren't in yet!  How far away can your Smart Phone read that QR code?  Can it be read in passing at 40 miles per hour?  What if this was all that people saw when you handed them your business card, what would they think.  Even more important, what does it say?  We've been duped many times over the years with "gotta have" gadgetry that never met it's mark.  Don't be left behind, it's growth in usage has been exponential and virtually unlimited in it's information capabilities.  Connor MacIvor has provided a link to bring you aboard freely so go out on that proverbial limb and take a chance.  There's literally nothing to lose c/o Connor and Paris911.  If you are not a subscriber to his Blog on AR and are tech oriented he's got some of the coolest stuff you definitely need incorporated into your website.  He'll assure you that it's more fun than skippin' rocks!

All the craze of late - QR codes and Big Opt in Buttons.

Simple QR code for Connor

QR Codes:

Standing for "Quick Response" it is a code that can be scanned by the "approved" device, such as a mobile phone or smart phone.  Embedded in this black square with white spaces is all contact data related to a Real Estate agent or it can be used for a part related to a Toyota.  In fact, a sub company of Toyota developed the technology.

What does this have to do with Real Estate?  Glad you asked - with the world moving more and more towards mobile, people will start scanning these QR codes more frequently.  You don't want to miss out on a client without it - so get one built.

How do you build a QR code - I would say simplicity is best - this one contains the following data:

Connor MacIvor - REMAX Realtor - Santa Clarita CA - 661-513-4620 - http://Paris911.com

Simple - They know who I am, where I work, my phone number and website address.  You might want to embed a email address as well.

Other Ideas of where to put your QR code?

BTW - this was FREE!

Opt in to Paris911 NewsLet's talk Opt In buttons?

What do you consider a true conversion?  A closed Escrow?  Maybe, but more realistically, you want someone to follow you and opt into your newsletter.  Closed Escrow's are nice - but to be constantly touching a prospective client is the key.

Opt In Buttons that signify that a client can get what they have read on your Active Rain Blog whenever you put something new up.  Also - they might want to put themselves on a list to get listings emailed to them - you choose where your Opt In button takes the client - You will want to choose your button wisely.

iStockPhoto - has a nice variety of Opt In Buttons - might cost you about a Buck - but that is important in the days when people are "suit happy" - so don't take anyone else's button - get your own :-)

Here is an example of one of my opt in buttons I have on one of my blogs - it takes the user directly to our Feedburner Email Application - This is also free and hands off.  Clicking on the button does not take you anywhere - we have the right column for that :-)

Happy Holidays
