Motivational Power Quote

The Power of Your Common Sense

"My success was not based so much

on any great intelligence

but on great common sense."

Helen Gurley Brown, author and publisher

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The power of your common sense

When in doubt use your common sense.

We have all had that feeling in the pit of our stomach at one time or another about something that we're thinking about doing. It's your common sense coming to the surface and speaking to you.

Our common sense is an enormous resource that we have within ourselves. It can validate an action that your thinking about taking is correct and it's the right thing to do. Your common sense is saying yes that you should move forward. Or it can quietly be speaking to you in your feeling and saying to you that what you're thinking about doing to is illogical and that you shouldn't go forward.

One of the biggest mistakes a person can make is to go against their common sense.

Our common sense is a powerful force that we were all born with that can guild our thinking in the right direction and help us to make the right decisions.

The person with great common sense has a high level of reasoning and are rational in their decision making process. Over a life time they will make far better decisions then the person that does not take advantage of their common sense.

A person with great common sense and good skills will be more effective and successful than a person with fair common sense and great skills.

When we put the power of our common sense to work for us, we'll find that the power of our common sense creates a strategic business advantage that propels us to a higher level of success.

When in doubt use your common sense to light the path for your success journey and you will activate the power of your common sense.

There is nothing common about common sense. But those who have it, and use it, are blessed.

Lou, somewhere I did read that what they call Wisdom is actually plain, home grown common sense.  Thanks for reminding me about good old common sense. Merry Christmas and Wishing you a More Prosperous New Year !!!

Hi Lou:

I'll take common sense over intelligence any day.

Oh Lou, this is so true.  Yesterday, my husband I visited my sister the doctor.  She's brilliant.  My entire family has IQ's off the chart; and my husband, too.  However, I always joke with all of them because I'm not sure any of them have any common sense!   I may not have gotten the 146+ IQ like my family and husband but I got the "common sense gene"!!  And, they all count on me or call when they need to do something in the real world!! I've always believed it is my intuition, perserverance and tenacity that has kept me successful, and although my IQ may not be that of an Einstein, as they have the significant "brain genes", I was fortunate to be awarded the common sense gene", as I refer to it... LOL. )
