Holiday Greetings from the Great Beyond

Technology is a wonderful thing and no one in my office loved it more than my good friend Will Hinton. He was an agent for many years and techno geek of the finest kind. Embracing all the new tools of the Internet and gadgets available to us all. His SUV would have made 007 proud with the dash mounted computer, auto start against the cold and the GPS-long before they were cheap. His iPhone was worn out before I even got mine. He always had time to share his knowledge with the rest of us who were trying to catch up. We lost Will around Thanksgiving at only 62, no one was ready.

Imagine my surprise tonight when I got a Christmas Card from him. Thoughtfully set to send out sometime last July when death was the furthest thing from his mind. Technology is our friend-even bringing Christmas Joy from our friends in Heaven.

While getting that card must have been a real surprise, just think, he was probably up there smiling down thinking "I've got my techno legacy to live up to." And, a card from the other side will surely be hard to beat.... or forget.

Marilyn, what an incredible tribute to a great man. Unfortunately, technology can have its glitches sometimes, in which this was one of them. In the end, personal contact is what resolved this tech issue. There will always be a human element.
