Dinospheres, Indianapolis Childrens' MuseumWhen the weather outside is FRIGHTFUL, remember that the Indianapolis Children’s Museum is an absolutely DELIGHTFUL place for indoor family fun! Kids, grown-ups and, yes, even teens, are sure to find something that captures their interest in the nation’s largest children’s museum, whether it’s digging for fossils in the Dinosphere, a walk through the world of Barbie, or a ride on an old-fashioned carousel. The Power of Indianapolis Children's MuseumChildren: Making a Difference is a new display that chronicles the trials and triumphs of young heroes Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges and Ryan White. It’s one history lesson no one will mind studying!

The Children’s Museum is also home to one of my favorite pieces of Indianapolis art – a towering structure created from hundreds of tentacles of blown glass. Be sure to look down as well as up as you circle the colorful tower!

Tower of Glass, Indianapolis Children's MuseumOn Dec. 31, families can celebrate the final morning hours of 2010 at The Indianapolis Children’s Museum with activities, entertainment and a countdown to noon!

Rebecca--It is a wonderful place.  All of my kids grew up loving it.  Indianapolis is surprising in many ways!!

Debra--I have been to a few around the country too.  Must admit I am a little partial to Indy's. :O)

Sharon--I have not seen the Barbie exhibit, but I will bet it is fun.  I had one of the first Barbie dolls, but my brother decapitated it, so I am sure it lost some value.  Dang brothers!!
